POLICE have renewed their appeal for information on the whereabouts of young man who has been missing for six weeks.

Ashley Dighton, 19, was last seen on Monday, June 11, at Sainsbury's supermarket in Simon Weil Avenue, Ashford.

He was captured on CCTV leaving County Square shopping centre shortly before.

A body was found in woodland behind the Sainsbury's store on July 11 and flowers left at the scene are all in tribute to Ashley.

Police say they will not be able to confirm the identity of the body until the inquest.

Mr Dighton is white, 5ft 7in tall, of slim build, with dark-brown hair and green eyes.

He has two distinctive tattoos - the word SKA on his right arm and a Tweetie Pie on his left shoulder. He was last seen wearing a grey hooded top.

A mobile police office will be located at Sainsbury's from Monday to Wednesday for anyone who may have information on Ashley's disappearance.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 01622 654860 or Kent Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
