Assault in Ashford High Street leaves two injured

Two men were injured after being assaulted by a group of young people in Ashford High Street.

The assault is reported to have taken place outside a restaurant on the High Street, near to the junction with Wellesley Road, at around 11.30pm on Tuesday.

A man in his 40s reported being punched and kicked in the head by the group, who then ran away from the area.

He was with another man in his 50s who was also injured during the incident.

Detectives investigating the incident are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

This is the second police incident in the area to involve young people in a matter of days, after two teenagers were arrested for assault on Saturday.
