Rugby skipper calls it a day

CANTERBURY rugby club skipper Frankie Davis has announced his retirement from the game.

Davis, 32, who played for the last time in Sunday's Kent Cup semi-final, has been restricted by injury problems and is to undergo surgery next month.

The former Blackheath and Kent hooker has led the city club for two seasons and has seen his side make a strong bid for honours in only the second season in London Division 1.
