Fly-tipping closes access down Dean Bottom in South Darenth

A road will be closed for a week after a huge pile of rubble and dirt was dumped in the middle of a country lane.

Access to Dean Bottom, in South Darenth, has been cut off while an investigation and clearance work is carried out on a stretch of lane covered with mounds of earth.

A Kent County Council spokesperson said: “We are aware of fly-tipping in Wilson Lane, South Darenth.

“An emergency road closure is in place, with an official diversion route, while highway officers organise for the waste to be cleared.”

A diversion has been put in place via Canada Farm Road and Rabbits Road.
