Paul Shaw, chairman of Dartford Town Team and owner operator of Dartford McDonald’s, said: “As the chairman of Dartford Town Team, I’m really keen to start promoting all of the positive events and happenings in and around Dartford.

“Our new Twitter and Instagram accounts help us to do this and connect us with residents and visitors who want to find out about activities taking place in the local area.

“I’d like to encourage as many people as possible to follow our networks, engage with us, and share what they love about Dartford.”

Dartford council leader Jeremy Kite is also pleased to see Dartford grow online.

“The Town Team receives a lot of feedback suggesting that shoppers and residents would like to know more about what’s going on in the town and what they’re doing,” he said.

“This new channel of communication is very welcome and I hope it proves very useful, not just to residents, but to businesses and shopkeepers too.

“A lot of very good things are happening in the town centre and it’s great that local people can hear about them.”
