Kymm White, a spokesman for the organisation said: “Little Patch was found alongside his sibling who had already died when he was around three weeks of age on August 23.

“He then spent two weeks at the vet where he was under around-the-clock care.

“He’s back at the vets today for investigation on a new skin issue but is otherwise doing brilliantly.”

Patch is recovering from a parasite infestation, coccidia, and anaemia, a condition where a lack of iron in the body leads to a reduction in the number of red blood cells.

Kymm added: “Patch, who is now seven weeks old, does have a skin condition which is being investigated and he will be off to his forever home once he is 100% healthy.

“He does have a home lined up once he’s ready but is staying at home with me until then.”
