'Small improvement' in stab victim's condition

A MAN in his 20s is still in intensive care in hospital after being stabbed in Folkestone.

The incident happened in the Tontine Street area with forensic officers sealing off a site near the Curry Garden restaurant and the bottom of Payers Car Park in Mill Bay, after the incident last Thursday morning.

It is believe the victim was attacked at around 4.15am. He is still in the William Harvey Hospital at Ashford.

Police spokesman Jon Green said there had been a "small improvement" in his condition.

Daniel Beresford, 22, of Foord Road South, Folkestone, has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent. He appeared before Canterbury magistrates on Saturday
