County lines dealer charged after arrest in Radnor Park, Folkestone

A suspected county lines drug dealer has appeared in court after being arrested in a busy park.

Newton Umukoro is facing several charges after police seized drugs and cash in Radnor Park in Folkestone.

Officers working in the park recovered £1,900 in cash, as well as quantities of heroin, crack cocaine and cannabis during the arrest on Thursday.

Mr Umukoro has since been charged with possession of heroin with intent to supply and possession of crack cocaine with intent to supply.

He has also been charged with being concerned in the supply of cannabis, as well as possession of criminal property.

The 22-year-old, of Plumstead in south-east London, appeared before Thanet Magistrates' Court via videolink on Saturday.

He was remanded in custody to appear before Canterbury Crown Court on Monday September 14.
