All Saints’ Road, Northfleet, closed at Perry Street junction due to subsidence

Part of a street has started to collapse forcing it to be sealed off.

All Saints’ Road, in Norhtfleet, is currently closed at the junction with Perry Street, to allow Kent County Council’s (KCC) highways team to undertake repairs following subsidence.

A section of the carriageway has also been cordoned off as cracks have appeared and the tarmac has sunk.

Investigations are taking place to identify the cause but it is expected to be shut for up to 10 days.

KCC has thanked drivers for their patience while it looks into the incident and identifies what repairs are needed.

The alternative route is via Perry Street, Victoria Road, Old Road West and All Saints Road approaching from the junction with Old Road West.

The footpath is still open and the road accessible for residents.

The road was closed yesterday (November 5) by the local authority’s incident response officers and is expected to reopen by November 16.
