Opinel thrilled over Wembley final

Sacha Opinel says Wembley is the home of football

FRENCHMAN Sacha Opinel admitted he has always dreamed of playing at Wembley since he was a kid.

The full-back Ebbsfleet played an important role in Fleet’s defence as Liam Daish’s side booked their place in the FA Trophy final against Torquay on May 10 by beating Aldershot.

Opinel said: “Wembley is the home of football. When I was in France the final of the FA Cup was on television everywhere. I’m 30 years old, with maybe three or four years left.

“I won’t make Chelsea anymore and I won’t be a big player, so for me personally it is massive.

“When you are 21 or 18 like John Akinde you have got the chance to probably play in bigger games, but for me at 30, it is probably my last chance.”
