Another blaze at boarded up house

FIRE crews tackled a blaze last night which started in a bedroom of a derelict house in Biggin Hill.

They were called by nieghbours at about 7.30pm and the fire caused more damage to the already-ruined building, in Sunningdale Avenue, Biggin Hill.

A firefighter from Biggin Hill station said they have dealt with similar fires at the same house in the past.

He added: "The house is totally written off but we still have to go in to check no-one's inside. The owners keep boarding it up but it seems to keep happening."

Crews from Biggin Hill and Addington attended.

A police spokesman said the incident was recorded as suspicious but that it is not being investigated.
