Fire at St John ambulance hall

Sparks from a fallen power cable set the roof alight of the St John Ambulance headquarters in Queenborough Road, Halfway.

Friday night's fire was attended to by firefighters from Sheppey and Queenborough who managed to stop it spreading from a corner.

It is believed that a reversing vehicle caused the main power cable into the building to become dislodged.
