More arrests in Folkestone fatal stabbing

Police investigating the murder of a teenager in Folkestone have arrested three more people.

Two teenagers were arrested in Tunbridge Wells yesterday and another was detained in hospital where he is receiving treatment following the stabbing on Monday night.

Eight people are now in custody.

One teenager died after the fight in Marine Terrace which involved around 30 young Afghanis.

Five others were taken to hospital where two remain in a stable condition.

All those involved are Afghanis and believed to be aged betwen 15 and 18.

Forensic officers are continuing investigations at a number of scenes in Folkestone and police are carrying out high profile patrols.

Community liaison officers and neighbourhood policing teams are continuing to work with the local community to deal with any issues and tensions that may arise as a result of the incident.
