Woman hurt in alleged forecourt hit-and-run

A DRIVER is helping police with their inquires after an incident at a supermarket's petrol forecourt.

A female member of staff was taken to Darent Valley Hospital after a driver allegedly drove into her at the Asda petrol station services in Greenhithe at around 5.30pm on Friday night. The driver then made off.

The woman was taken to Darent Valley Hospital by ambulance with suspected head injuries but a CT scan showed she had serious bruising to the head and hip.

The employee, who has worked at the store for two years, is due to be released later today.
