ALAN CURBISHLEY: Happy with the draw
ALAN CURBISHLEY: Happy with the draw

CHARLTON'S FA Cup luck held firm with a third consecutive home draw when they were paired with Coca-Cola Championship side Leicester City at The Valley in the fifth round.

The Addicks eclipsed Rochdale and Yeovil in the previous rounds but face more formidable opposition in Leicester who won 2-1 at Reading in Saturday's fourth round.

Manager Alan Curbishley said: "We've given our supporters some great times in the last 10 years but we've not been able to give them an FA Cup run.

"We're desperate to do that, I'm desperate to do that now that we've been given a decent draw."

The tie will take place on the weekend of February 19-20.

Meanwhile, Charlton's home match against Tottenham on Saturday, February 12 has been postponed because it clashes with Spurs' FA Cup fourth round replay against West Brom.

Fifth round draw in full:

Bolton v Derby/Fulham

West Bromwich Albion/Tottenham v Nottingham Forest

Everton v Manchester United

Charlton v Leicester

Burnley v Blackburn

Southampton v Brentford/Hartlepool

Newcastle v Chelsea

Arsenal v West Ham/Sheffield United
