Dover Athletic 1 Gillingham 4

GILLINGHAM secured a comfortable victory over Dover at the Crabble on Saturday.

Two first half goals from Irishman Gary Mulligan set the Gills on their way as they faced Andy Hessenthaler's Ryman League Division 1 South side.

Hessenthaler named a side littered with former Gillingham players and it was one of these that pulled a goal back for Dover in the second half.

Alan Pouton, who was forced to quit the professional game because of injury, was on trial with The Whites and netted a 59th minute free-kick. Gillingham responded with two more goals though, with Andrew Crofts and Andy Pugh scoring to wrap up the win.
