Midweek Ryman League round-up

Maidstone staged an impressive second half comeback to beat Harlow 3-2 in the Ryman League Premier Division on Tuesday night.

Having gone 11 league games without a win, Lloyd Blackman's penalty two minutes from full-time earned Stones maximum points for the first time in 2009.

The Stones trailed 2-0 at half-time after Michael Bardle's fourth minute goal for the home side was added to by Ricci Crace in the 36th minute.

Jay Saunders brought the visitors back in contention with a goal five minutes after the break. James Pinnock then levelled matters for the Stones after 75 minutes.

A memorable recovery for the visitors was wrapped up when Blackman scored the decisive goal from the spot.

Justin Ascheri fired in a hat-trick as Chatham romped to a 5-1 home win over Cheshunt in Division 1 North.

Ascheri put Chatham ahead after 9 minutes and two goals in as many minutes midway through the second half by Byron Walker and Lee Barnett made it 3-0.

Ascheri put Chatham 4-0 ahead on the hour before Akinawo pulled one back for the visitors with 20 minutes left. Ascheri completed his hat-trick in the final minute to round off an entertaining evening.

In Division 1 South, an Aaron Cole-Bolt goal with 17 minutes left was enough for Chipstead to defeat Folkestone 1-0.
