Mixed emotions for Gate new boy

Accrington Stanley 3 Margate 2

A DEBUT goal from Manny Omoyinmi was not enough to prevent Margate slipping to their first away defeat of the Nationwide Conference season.

Omoyinmi brought the Gate level after Lutel James had put Acrrington ahead, and before half defender Greg Oates had followed up after Terry McFlynn's shot was saved to put the visitors 2-1 in front.

McFlynn shoud have made it 3-1 when he missed from in front of an open goal and that miss proved costly in the second half.

First James headed the equaliser after Peter Cavanagh's 54th minute free-klck had been helped on and then John Durnin converted Andy Procter's cross to give Accrington the points.
