Women's weekend hockey round-up

SEVENOAKS suffered a 1-0 defeat against Woking in the National South Division on Saturday. Julia Man scored the decisive goal.

Maidstone went down to a 4-2 defeat against St Albans. St Albans took the lead through Donna Pringle. Anna Shaw and Joelle Weston (2) made it 4-0 before Lauren Penny and Kirsty Hotson pulled two goals back for Maidstone.

After a weekend off Canterbury return to Premier League action against Leicester at Polo Farm 11.45am on Saturday.

The fifth-placed ladies need a 19-goal turnaround if they are to overtake fourth placed Leicester on goal difference.
