WALKER: says Staines are strong side
WALKER: says Staines are strong side

Staines v Maidstone

MAIDSTONE travel to third-place Staines in the Ryman League, Premier Division this Saturday with Lynden Rowland (thigh) added to an ever increasing injury list.

Stones boss Alan Walker is still without Chris Smalling while Rob Owen and Nathan Paul are doubts after picking up knocks against Ramsgate last Saturday.

Walker said: "Staines is going to be a very tough game, they are a good and strong side who have been on a very good cup run."

To add to Walker's woes, the Ramsgate match signalled a new life with the much reduced presence of Ahwan after the defender decided to concentrate on his religion.

Walker said: "Errison is a member of The Seventh-day Adventist Church and he feels he has lost sight of his religion because of playing football.

"He has also suffered a number of injuries this season so he has decided to step back and is only available for mid-week games."
