Stones go in search of away improvement

MARIO McNISH should return from injury for Maidstone's Ryman League Premier Division trip to Ashford Town (Middx) on Saturday.

Ben Lewis is also expected to recover from a knock to the knee for a Stones side who otherwise have no injury worries for a game against opponents who knocked them out of both the FA Cup and FA Trophy last season.

The latter tie ended in acrimonious circumstances with Ashford's manager exchanging punches with a home fan, but Hume said the saga had now been forgotten.

"It’s another game for us," he said. "On home form we’d be sixth in the table, but our away form would leave us rock bottom. Last year we picked up more points away than we did at home and we need to get back to that."
