Teen rescued by officers in Honesty Close, Sittingbourne after getting locked in handcuffs

A teenager had to be rescued after his tinkering with a pair of handcuffs didn't quite go to plan.

Officers were called to an address in Honesty Close, Sittingbourne at 3.45pm yesterday to help free the boy from the restraints.

The boy is believed to have been playing with them when he locked himself in.

Police arrived at his home and were joined by a fire crew but no assistance was required.

Officers then unshackled the boy from the cuffs shortly after.
